E.T. Phone Home

During our trip to Australia last month, we spent some time at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum in Sydney. I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved wax museums. When I was little, my family took a trip to Victoria, Canada, and guess what I remember most about that trip? That’s right, the wax museum! Maybe it’s just because people are so interesting. And it’s fun to take ridiculous photos with wax statues. So, without further adieu, here are some of the “gems” from our afternoon at Madame Tussaud’s…

Art in Sydney, Australia

Recently, my hubby and I were fortunate enough to take a trip to Australia and New Zealand. The first four days of our trip were primarily spent in the Harbor area of Sydney, where there was plenty of art and entertainment. Our last day in the city was spent wondering around the Royal Botanic Gardens and stumbled upon the Art Gallery of NSW. What a joy that was! We also happened to be visiting during the two Art Walk months…so it was free to the public.

One more thing I wanted to share is some Australian Aboriginal Art. There was a whole floor of it in the museum and I snagged a few examples from Pinterest so you could check it out…

All in all, it was a very inspiring trip and we’re so grateful we had the experience!
